Seven Knights and The Palace Fairy Tales (part 2)

 “So do you stay here?” Nick asked. And Al didn’t answer.

            “Come on, Dave. Stay with me! Oh no… I hate this part,” Al said.

            “Oh… come on, Al!” Rick said. And then they entered the alley one by one, Jack, Herb, Rick, Dave, Al, Tom, and Nick. Jack and Rick took the torch on the wall of that alley.

            “Are you really sure this alley will take us to the right way?” Tom asked.

            “100% yes! However the way is or wherever this alley will be end,” Nick said.

            Finally they arrived at the point of the alley.

            “Where are we now?” Herb asked

            They looked around. And they knew where they were. “Yes, we are on the dark forest now,” Nick said.

            Dark forest was a forbidden forest in Rockwell, because the dark forest was a place for beast like wolf men, bully centaurs, and the other wild animals, even black magicians.

            “Now, what can we do? It’s like you exit from a crocodile hole and enter the lion cage,” Al said.

            “Al, keep silent!” Herb ordered

            “We must be calm down. We can’t take a way if you always quarrel,” Nick said.

            And they were silent. Meanwhile, Al was crying. But suddenly she remembered something.

            “Wait a moment. I ever heard about this event before,” Al said.

            “Are you really?” Jack asked.

             “Yes. But I can’t remember clearly. The event was same with our condition right now. Where all people were being an ice sculpture,” Al said and tried to remember something.

            “A fairy tale from Auntie Rose,” Dave said.

            “Yes. The event was same with the fairy tale that was given by Auntie Rose. Dave, you are brilliant,” Al said.

            “A fairy tale? This isn’t a time to compare our condition with a fairy tale. It’s a fact, Al!,” Tom said.

            “Are you crazy, little grandma?” Herb said.

            “Stop! That isn’t wrong if we listened to Al story. Moreover, we don’t have a way out,” Nick said.

            “Hey, Nick. She is a braggart. Do you believe at her?” Tom asked.

            “Yes. From the beginning, she always complains. Maybe she just tries to make a lie story. So we can go back to the palace and be an ice sculpture,” Herb said.

            “We don’t have any idea to do now. After listened Al’s story, maybe we can have any idea,” Jack said   

Then Al started to retell the story tale to them. She said that there had been a prosperous country. But one day, all citizenry and the leader had stricken a curse from a black magician. They had been an ice sculpture. But there were seven knights who had not been a sculpture. And they had found their way to save their kingdom. And they had gone to the forbidden forest. And they had gone to a cave that had been radiated by the moonlight. So the cave had looked shine from the distance…

“Shining? Is there a shine cave like a diamond?” Herb asked

“Herb!” his brothers said angrily.

“Sorry, I just realistic,” Herb said.

“Stop! So, how about us?” Tom asked.

“It’s so difficult if we really don’t know what we have to do. Alright! We decide to find the cave,” Nick said.

 “Hey, are you crazy? It’s just a fairy tale,” Herb said.

“No, Herb. It will be better if we always move because we don’t know what we have to do in this dangerous forest,” Nick said.

“Let’s go,” Jack said.

“Come on, guys. It will be our unforgettable experience,” Rick said.

And they went along the forest. On the way, they listened the various kind of strange voice that could make they were afraid.

            “Look!” Nick said and pointed toward the south.

            Apparently, what Al said was true. The cave was really there and looked shine and they didn’t believe what they looked.

            “So what must we do now?” Tom asked.

            Without answered Tom question, Nick stepped forward to the cave.

            “Hey… are you crazy? Will we enter the cave?” Tom asked.

            “It’s the only way for us to save our parents and populaces,” Nick said.

            Apparently, the cave was so hazy. “Oh my God!” they said together when they looked the light of their torch illuminated the bones that were scattered around.

            “Be calm! Maybe it’s just the bones of animals who dead a long time ago,” Nick said. Then they listened a groan of something that didn’t appear there.

            “What is that?” Herb was afraid.

            “Oh, Guys. Have I told you about something there?” Al asked.

            “No. You haven’t told us about that. What is that?” Tom asked.

            Al swallowed up.

            “Tell us, what is that? Is there a werewolf? Or centaurs? Snakes? Lions?” Jack said and imitated the beast that he mentioned and made they laughed.

            “I don’t know, is it worse that the beast that you mentioned. But… I just know from the fairy tale, there are…,” Al said and she didn’t continue it. But she pointed toward in front of them.

            “AAAA!!!!” they screamed together when they looked a big black dragon in front of them. And they ran fast to the place that they could hide. But the heavy steps followed them. Nick, while carrying Dave, led them. And he found a space in the wall of the cave that could use for hiding place. Finally they all could enter the space. And the dragon tried to collide his head to the wall hoped if the little space could be a big hole.

            “Now, how can we save the people if we trapped here with a slaughterer dragon that waits us outside?” Tom asked.

            “Al, it’s time for you to retell the complete story and what do the knights do to out from here safely?” Nick asked.

            “I remember that a knight jabbed his sword to the one of the dragon eye that isn’t blind,” Al told.

            “So, he is blind?” Herb asked.

            “Yes. That causes he is more savage and his eye is his weakness,” Al continued.

            “It’s really crazy! How can we know where the blind eye is? And we don’t have a sword,” Tom said desperately.

“Who said?” Nick asked and he took out a thin sword from back his dress.

 “Do you always carry your fencing sword everywhere?” Rick asked.

“Of course. It uses for the emergency situation that is like right now,” Nick answered.

“But you just learnt fencing,” Tom said.

“That’s not wrong. But I have really a skill to play it,” Nick said.

“Okay. But what can we do with a fencing sword?” Herb asked.

“And where is the blind eye?” Tom asked.

“I know the way to determine where the blind eye is with an elicitation. With two eyes he can see at all direction. But if one of his eyes blind, he has a difficult to see the direction where the eye blind is. So, Tom, Rick, and Jack you spread! Then provoke the dragon and look how his move is. And then I will climb to the cave wall that can be climbed. And you will give me a sign and I will stick it,” Nick said

            “Hey! Why must I do that? I’m not an expert in spread. And I’m afraid if the dragon sprays out the fire,” Tom said.

            “No. An old dragon didn’t spray out the fire,” Al said.

            “Hey, I can replace him. I’m better in this part than Tom,” Herb asked.

            “No, Herb. You are 9. But it will be better if you stay here with Al to keep Dave,” Nick said and it made Herb disappointed.

            “Alright, we do it now. Are you ready, brothers?” Nick asked.

            “Yes! We are ready,” Rick and Jack answered.

            “No, I never ready to die,” Tom said.

            Without paid attention to Tom answer. They moved stealthily from their hiding place. And Tom followed them. Meanwhile the dragon wasn’t tired to collide his head on the wall. In a moment, they heard a scream and abusive words from Rick and Jack to the dragon. The dragon stopped to collide his head. Al and Herb spied on from their hiding place and they looked the dragon was confused to find the voice source. Then Tom shouted at the dragon. But the dragon know where Tom is and he hatched loudly.

“Oh, No! Nick! He knows where I am. Help me!” Tom screamed and ran.

“Nick! Left side!” Rick and Jack shouted when they knew the dragon responses to Tom who was in the left side of the dragon.

With all of Nick power, who had been in the high place as the dragon head, he would stick his sword to the left eye of the dragon. But he failed. His fencing sword just hit the dragon nose. Herb felt infuriated because he did nothing from beginning, so he decided to go down to the combat area.

“Herb!” Al screamed.

Then Herb took out a slingshot from his pocket. And he took a marble. And he was ready to peer his target is the left eye of the dragon.

“Ok, Herbert! It’s time to focus. Concentrate yourself to the target. And one…two…,” Herb said to himself without gave attention to his brothers and sister who screamed to him to save himself.

“And three..,” Herb removed his rubber of his slingshot that was pulled tight fully. Fast, the marble shot to the right side of the dragon eye. And finally hit the target. But the dragon didn’t move, persistent his attention to Tom. A short time later, the dragon hatched loudly and he couldn’t support his body weight. And he fell down with a loud noise. And caused the cave quiver and collapse the wall and ceiling of the cave like an earthquake.

“Hurray!!” Dave said happily.

“Wow, that’s cool,” Rick said.

“Awesome!” Jack said.

“Okay. What do we have to do now?” Tom asked.

“Al. What is the continuation of the story?” Nick asked.

“After they could defeat the dragon, they entered a big hole,” Al said.

“A big hole? What do you mean about a big hole?” Herb asked.

“I don’t know,” answered Al.

After a little, the cave started to shake hard. Until made the rock of the ceiling poured down and the wall collapsed. The ground of the cave cracked. And the crack became bigger and bigger.

“Oh… I think we know what she meant,” Rick said when the crack had been a big hole and they slipped in.

“AAAA…!!!” they screamed together.

Finally, they reached for the cave foundation. And their torch had died. They were in a totally blind condition.
